Savings rate

A savings rate is the share of take-home income that is saved or invested rather than spent, measured over a period such as a month or a year. Someone earning ₹1.5 lakh a month and saving ₹45,000 has a 30% savings rate.
Savings rate is often the single biggest lever on how fast Net Worth grows, especially early in a career, when the base of assets is still small and returns alone cannot move the number much.
